The Laguna Colorada is one of those many salty lakes that you will cross if you walk on the Bolivian altiplano!
Renowned for its reds and oranges, this beautiful laguna shelters numerous pink flamingos that reproduce there.
At the foot of the Andes mountain range, the Laguna is located in an absolutely deserted setting.
If you cross the south lipez to reach Chile from Bolivia, you will necessarily stop at the Laguna Colorada.
The tones of the water range from brown shades to intense reds.
Its red coloring is due to sediments and algae.
